That Bert Rutten chose to keep this particular mare will not perhaps seem the most obvious choice to many breeders. But at Dressuurstal Rutten the breeding of a good and talented sports horse is always foremost. Pollie is out of a bloodline that had already produced many horses that are performing well at a highest level in the sport.

Her dam is the mare Darlin (Transvaal x Liberto). Darlin produced 14 foals in total. Thanks to the achievements of her offspring in the sport she was awarded the prestatie predicate in 2008.
